The software has been created as general program for surveillance hybrid platforms working all together with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the identical appearance and controls on the local and remote pcs. Users view MPEG coded picture and have complete management of the software via network that surveillance server can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular composition considerably increases reliability because all modules work as independent applications. If one module stops working, other units keep on working. For example if the `capture` part fails, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` component. The software does `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by activity, human face detection, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on remote computer via Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
